PICKLEEQ PRIVACY POLICY

Version 1.4. This is a plain-text copy of the document shown in the PickleEQ app; the version in the app at https://pickleeq.io/privacy governs.

This Privacy Policy describes how RPJohnston Ventures LLC (rpjllc.com), d/b/a PickleEQ™, a Texas limited liability company (contact: pickleeq@rpjllc.com) ("Company," "we," or "us"), handles information in connection with PickleEQ™ (the "Service").

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

a. Account information: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.

b. DUPR information: when you claim your DUPR account, we store your DUPR code, numeric DUPR ID, name, and current rating/reliability as shown on your public DUPR profile, and we may sync a subset of your public match history to power rating forecasts.

c. Feedback you submit: if you report a bug or suggest a feature, we store the description you write, the type you selected, an optional screenshot of the specific part of the app you pointed at, the page URL, and your browser/screen information.

d. Phone number (optional): you may provide a phone number when you accept this Policy, or later in Settings. It is never required to use the Service. If you provide it, we use it operationally -- for example, to invite you to the PickleEQ™ WhatsApp group or reach you directly -- the same way we're already permitted to use your DUPR data to operate the Service under the Terms of Service. It is never shown to other users unless you separately turn on the "share my phone number with other participants" setting, which defaults to off. You can add, change, or remove your phone number at any time in Settings.

e. Technical and record-keeping information: we log IP address and browser user-agent when you accept this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Service, as evidence of what you agreed to and when. We do not otherwise track your browsing activity, and we do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs anywhere in the Service.

2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use the information above to operate the Service, including: authenticating you; contacting you as described in Section 3; computing and displaying DUPR rating forecasts; showing you and other relevant participants information about matches you're both part of; responding to feedback and bug reports; and maintaining a record of your acceptance of our legal terms.

3. HOW WE CONTACT YOU

a. Email your account needs. We use the email address associated with your account to send you messages required to operate the Service and your account -- for example, confirming an invitation, telling you your account has been approved, letting you know an administrator has assigned you a provisional rating, or telling you about a match, session, or availability poll you are part of. These are part of providing the Service rather than marketing, and you receive them for as long as you have an account. If you would rather not receive them, the remedy is to close your account, using the contact details at the end of this Policy.

b. Optional updates. Separately, you may choose to receive occasional email that your account does not require -- new features, sessions being organised, and similar. This is off unless you turn it on. When you turn it on we send a single message asking you to confirm, and you only begin receiving these once you click the link in it. Every one of them carries a one-click unsubscribe, and you can also turn them off at any time in Settings. Unsubscribing from these never affects the messages described in Section 3.a.

c. Who sends our email. Our email is sent from an address at pickleeq.io by Resend, an email delivery provider acting on our behalf, which processes the message and your address for the sole purpose of delivering it.

d. Text messages (SMS). We only text you if you ask us to, and asking takes two separate steps. In Settings you enter your own mobile number and tick a box -- never pre-ticked -- asking for PickleEQ™ texts; we then send a six-digit code to that number, and you enter it. Both are required, and they do different jobs: the box records that you asked, the code shows the number is actually yours rather than a mistyped one belonging to a stranger. Until both are done, the only message we ever send that number is the code itself.

e. What we text, and how often. Session reminders, availability polls for a group you belong to, and confirmations of court assignments and playing times. Message frequency varies, typically fewer than five messages per week. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to texts is not a condition of using the Service.

f. Stopping texts. Reply STOP to any message and we stop, immediately and permanently, until you ask again; reply HELP for help. You can also switch them off at any time in Settings, which takes effect at once. Stopping texts never affects the email described in Section 3.a, and never affects your account.

g. Mobile numbers are never shared for marketing. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell mobile numbers, and we do not send marketing texts of any kind -- everything in Section 3.e is about sessions you are part of. Our texts are sent through Twilio, a messaging provider acting on our behalf, which processes the message and your number for the sole purpose of delivering it.

4. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

We do not sell your information to anyone. We share information only: (a) with other users, where necessary for the Service's core function -- for example, a rating forecast involving you will show your rating to the other participants in that forecast, the same way DUPR's own platform already makes ratings visible to any logged-in DUPR user; (b) with Company personnel for operating the Service; and (c) if required by law or legal process. Your phone number, if you provide one, is never included in (a) unless you separately opt in via the Settings toggle described in Section 1.d -- it is not treated as part of the Service's core function the way DUPR ratings are. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes; see Section 3.g.

5. COOKIES

The Service uses a small number of functional, first-party cookies only: to keep you signed in, and to protect the Google sign-in flow against forgery. None of these are advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we don't use any third-party cookies.

6. DATA RETENTION

We retain your information for as long as your account exists. If you'd like your data deleted, contact us using the information below and we will delete it, other than what we're required to keep as a record of legal acceptances. We also retain historical invite-request records from PickleEQ™'s earlier private-trial phase, before signup was open to everyone.

7. SECURITY

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including keeping credentials and session tokens in httpOnly cookies and never storing your DUPR or Google password. The Service has not undergone formal third-party security certification.

8. CHILDREN

The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect information from, anyone under 13 years old.

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will ask you to accept the updated policy before continuing to use the Service. Your prior acceptance remains on record.

10. GOVERNING LAW

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
